ONE LINE: A COCKTAIL IN SUNNY BEACH.

i thank the author for trusting my review, and sending me a copy of romantic bouncers.this is a honest review.

SYNOPSIS:

Its a story about loss, despair, pain and overcoming everything, when the whole world is against you.
rabin, an aspiring cricketer who is on his way to make it to the Indian team and people surrounding him, sarath his best buddy, kristina, his love ,bharaga his sister, strict and dutiful father , loving mother , a drug cartel that spoils modern youth and most importantly its a story about cricket(every Indian teenager's dream).

ROMANTIC BOUNCERS:

Writing is non-linear,the whole book contains two phase of a guys life, one before his beloved's death and one after.the book contains 32 chapter with each chapter the story jumps timeline, which was a bit confusing at the start but later enjoyable.

The narration is very eloquent which gives a firm grip to the story, i took three days to finish the book, (if not for my exam i would finished it two days.) its been a very long time that i read book in full stretch.

The first few chapters were intense, you can feel the pain of losing someone's close to you.author did a good job in killing favorite characters and bring the pain through out the book.(not cool bro).

The characters are well written, each characters have different and well defined persona, there are few multidimensional characters like rabin's dad, except H.B, more details were need for his character.
The story is basically about cricket and a underground drug mafia and how those two things changes a man's life completely. a huge congrats for the author for merging two most hot topics in India. i have to mention that every 3 out 4 youths in India are addicted to drugs.so please say NO TO DRUGS.

Ok back to the review, the only thing that bothers me is the twist at the end, not the actual twist but the character's reaction to the twist,it's very subtle. you just found out that a guy you know your entire life turns out to be a leader of drug mafia and you were like its ok i will call him and arrange for a meeting.(seriously?)

The end is pretty much rushed up, it would be better there was two more chapters.

The authors patriotism to Chennai is unbelievable, but i appreciate its a good thing.( no auto-driver is like that, may be if i m dhoni ,he will give me free ride)

OVERALL REVIEW:

Its a brilliant work, complete entertainer, very gripping,a mixture of romance, fun, friendship loss and cricket, recommended for everyone. an unusual Indian young-adult, if you are bored of usual romance genre, this book is for you.

i started with 4.5 but due the reasons like rushed up ending, loop holes, twists i am giving 3,5 out of 5.

the author has potential, i m going to check out his other works, all the best to RAM VIGNESH for his future.
